MIP CANCUN launches its Scripted Pitch, reinforcing its commitment to IP development and responding to the growing demand for premium scripted content from across Ibero-America and the U.S. Hispanic market.
This initiative is designed to spotlight original scripted projects with strong international potential, creating new opportunities for co-production, financing and global partnerships across the Ibero-American and U.S. Hispanic audiovisual industry.
The MIP CANCUN Scripted Pitch will take place on Thursday, November 19, at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancún, Mexico.

What are the criteria for the MIP CANCUN Pitch?
Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
✔ Scripted content developed for TV, streaming and/or multi-platform audiences,
✔ Projects in Early Stage (25% financed) or In Development (25% to 75% financed)
✔ First-season projects only; returning seasons are not eligible,
✔ Original scripted content from Ibero-America and/or the U.S. Hispanic market
✔ Worldwide or international rights must still be available,
✔ International and co-production potential
✔ Projects must not have been previously pitched publicly at international markets or festivals before MIP CANCUN 2026,
✔ Originality and strength of the concept, storytelling, characters and themes,
✔ International and co-production potential,
✔ Regional authenticity with global appeal,
✔ Potential to connect with current audience trends and platform demands.
The call for entry is open to all.
Each company can submit up to 3 projects.

An international jury composed of leading industry executives, producers, commissioners, and content experts will select the 5 finalist projects.
Projects will be evaluated according to:
- Creative originality,
- Market potential,
- International appeal,
- Co-production viability,
- Strength of the pitch package,
- Audience relevance.

This initiative is designed to spotlight original scripted projects with strong international potential, creating new opportunities for co-production, financing and global partnerships across the Ibero-American and U.S. Hispanic audiovisual industry.
The competition is open to creators, writers, producers and production companies developing scripted series or feature film projects from Latin America, Spain, Portugal and the U.S. Hispanic market, for TV, streaming and multi-platform audiences. Projects may be at either early or advanced stages of development.
Five selected finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their projects live in front of an international panel of commissioners, producers, platforms, broadcasters and industry executives during MIP CANCUN.
The MIP CANCUN Scripted Pitch will take place on Thursday, November 19, during MIP CANCUN 2026 at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancún, Mexico.
Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Scripted content developed for TV, streaming and/or multi-platform audiences,
- Projects still seeking financing, at one of the following stages:
- Early Stage: 25% financed,
- In Development: between 25% and 75% financed,
- First-season projects only; returning seasons are not eligible,
- Original scripted content from Ibero-America and/or the U.S. Hispanic market, - Worldwide or international rights must still be available,
- Projects must not have been previously pitched publicly at international markets or festivals before MIP CANCUN 2026,
- Originality and strength of the concept, storytelling, characters and themes,
- International and co-production potential,
- Regional authenticity with global appeal,
- Potential to connect with current audience trends and platform demands.
To participate, applicants must:
- Read the Terms & Conditions and complete the official application form in English,
- Submit all required project materials before the deadline,
- Be available to attend MIP CANCUN in person if selected as a finalist,
- Prepare a pitch presentation in English,
- Include a teaser, sizzle reel, mood board, or visual presentation of a maximum of 90 seconds as part of the live pitch.
Participation is subject to the full Terms & Conditions, including in particular eligibility criteria, intellectual property representations and liability limitations.
Each company may submit up to 3 projects.

Applications are free of charge.
The five selected finalists will receive one complimentary registration for MIP CANCUN 2026, including three nights’ accommodation on November 17, 18 and 19, all meals included, and access to all MIP CANCUN events open to registered participants.
Travel and additional expenses are not included unless expressly stated otherwise.
RX France reserves the right to introduce application or participation fees in future editions.
The five selected finalists will receive:
